Our tutors are top CU Boulder students who meet high standards of academic and personal excellence. Each member of our team must receive an A in the course in order to tutor a class, no exceptions.

Meet the Founder

Felicia Tay embarked on her tutoring journey in the fall of 2019, during her first semester at the University of Colorado Boulder. While pursuing a degree in Finance and Pre-Medicine, she discovered that her peers frequently sought her expertise in various classes, leading her to take on part-time tutoring for fellow business students. This endeavor continued into 2020, even amidst the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 campus shutdown.

As the shift to online learning became prevalent, Felicia observed a growing number of students struggling to adapt, and her effective tutoring sessions gained widespread recognition. Having successfully assisted over 20 students in a single semester, Felicia recognized the need to expand her tutoring services. In January of 2021, she founded Pick a Peer Tutoring LLC.

Leveraging her close relationships with academic advisors and professors, Pick a Peer Tutoring LLC quickly became a prominent force on campus, aiding over 500 students to date. Despite graduating in May 2022 and transitioning into her professional career, Felicia remains dedicated to ensuring the continued success and quality of tutoring sessions provided by Pick a Peer Tutoring.

Arya Shinde

Arya is a Leeds School of Business student studying Accounting and Finance. Arya has maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout college and spent this past summer working as an Audit Intern at Deloitte. She is also on the executive board of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, as Senior Vice President and works in the undergraduate advising office as a Peer Advisor. She tutors business classes and enjoys working with all her students!

Madeleine Hemstreet

Maddy is a sophomore at the Leeds School of Business studying data analytics and marketing. She has maintained a 3.99 GPA, and is involved in several student organizations on campus including Leeds Scholars and Honors, Alpha Kappa Psi, Leeds Consulting Group, and CESR Fellows. She tutors business courses, specifically MOD classes, and is passionate about her students' growth and success.

Breier Jorgensen

Breier is a junior at the Leeds School of Business studying management and information analytics. She is in Leeds Honors Program and Dean's Leadership Fellows, Alpha Kappa Psi, and CESR Fellows. Breier tutors a variety of business classes and enjoys building a relationship with her peers and seeing them succeed.

Paul Reuer

Paul is a junior at the Leeds School of Business studying Finance and Business Analytics, upholding a 3.92 GPA. He spent last summer interning at Gen USA, a consulting firm in Milan. He is involved on campus within the Leeds Honors Program, the Leeds Consulting Group, Dean’s Student Cabinet, and is on the Executive Board of the Peer 2 Peer Mentoring Program. He is available to tutor a range of classes from Finance to Economics.

Jaikrit Johar

Jaikrit is a student at Leeds School of Business majoring in Finance and Pre-Health. He has been tutoring since high school and is passionate about helping others succeed. On campus, he is involved in Leeds Scholars, CU's Boettcher Foundation Cohort, and Leeds Investing and Trading Group. Jaikrit tutors a variety of business classes and high school courses as well.

Josh is a Leeds School of Business student studying Management and Business Analytics as well as pursuing a second major in Environmental Engineering. He is part of Leeds Honors program and part of the Dean's Leadership Fellows at CU Boulder. He is very versatile and can tutor chemistry, business courses, and engineering courses.

Yusuf Hanif

Yusuf is a student at the Leeds School of Business in the Leeds Scholars and Honors program as well as a Boettcher Scholar. In his first year he has earned a 4.0 GPA at Leeds and will continue studying Finance along with pursuing minors in Spanish and Computer Science. Next semester, he will be working an internship with The Citizens Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to establishing and running world-class schools for underserved rural communities in Pakistan. Yusuf tutors various business classes from Microeconomics and Intro to Computer Science.

Mason Levy

Mason is a Sophomore at the Leeds School of Business working towards an emphasis in Finance and Information Management with a minor in Economics. He is heavily involved on campus as a Leeds Scholar, Senior Consultant in Leeds Consulting Group, and the VP of Professional Development in Scholars of Finance. Mason tutors a range of classes from Micro Economics to the Leeds Mods.

Sydney Ciechanowicz

Sydney is a student in the college of arts & sciences majoring in Molecular,Cellular, and Developmental Biology, Astrophysics, and Geology. She does astrobiology research at the Laboratory for Atmospheric Space Physics (LASP) and was awarded a UROP scholarship. Outside of tutoring she is an active mountaineer and spent this past summer learning Italian and volunteering in the Dolomites.

Sarah is a Leeds School of Business student with a double emphasis in Finance and Accounting and a Minor in Economics at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is heavily involved with Leeds Student Government and her business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. She will be a US Wealth Advisor intern with BlackRock this summer in New Jersey.

Riley Jones

Riley is a junior in the Integrated Design Engineering program, studying Environmental and Energy Engineering. Riley has maintained a 3.83 GPA throughout college and has worked as a Course Assistant for engineering projects classes. She is a member of the Presidents Leadership Class and the Engineering Honors Program, and tutors a range of classes in various engineering departments from entry-level Calculus to Fluid Mechanics.

Shriya Ginjupalli

Shriya is a junior at Grandview High School aspiring to enter the field of finance. She has been involved in FBLA and DECA since freshman and sophomore year and is both a state and national qualifier. Currently taking multiple AP and advanced courses, Shriya maintains a history of academic excellence of a 3.9 GPA. Additionally, she is passionate about teaching financial literacy to the youth and younger generations.
